SUBLIMINALS IN ADVERTISING
A wide variety of advanced psychological techniques are used by advertising experts to communicate the selling points of a product or service to its target market. Sometimes however, these subliminals are used in misleading ways to unconsciously trick us into attaching a false sense of value to a product / service that we otherwise would not want or need.
The ways in which we are influenced by such advertising says as much about our own belief systems as it does about those designing the adverts.
