Youtube, from being incorporated into Artificial Intelligence systems.

May 4th 2026 - MAJOR OVERHAUL OF YOUTUBE VIDEO BACKLOG Youtube is becoming an increasingly unreliable, even counter-productive, means to share my work. Problematic factors include the following.

• The YT "browse features" algorithm is heavily promoting AI rip offs of my work, despite many users leaving comments on those videos citing my work as the source.
• YT only notifies a small portion of my 260k subscribers (main channel) of my new uploads, which means I can't reach over around 75% of my subscribers.
• Ad revenue is blocked on over 70% of my film analysis videos. The ad revenue goes to the companies that own the films, even though I produce the videos and effectively provide free promotion of their films that has often reached view counts in the millions. My film studies are also perfectly legal under the "Fair Use" provisions of copyright law so should not be blocked.
• Several videos of mine have been subjected to forms of suppression by YT. This includes one of my Full Metal Jacket videos being shadow banned for two weeks after an initially viral first two days of upload. For that two weeks, the video appeared to be public when I signed into YT, but was not searchable at all publicly on YT or in Google search engine (Google owns YT). The video was visible in other search engines. Other forms of suppression include custom thumbnails being disabled for long periods of time on my Eyes Wide Shut videos specifically. The thumbnails would only show if my name was added in the search bar. Basically this created the illusion of my videos being equally findable for newcomers to my work.
• User feedback on video quality has virtually no affect on the "browse features" recommendations to new viewers. Dislikes are now invisible, so viewers can't distinsuish a bad video without having to sit through it. In the early days of Youtube video ratings could be seen in search results without having to click on the video. This ensured that low quality videos were avoided and high quality videos were engaged with. If companies like Amazon and eBay can show feedback ratings within search results YT has no excuse for doing the same. I'm also finding that whether a new upload of mine has 99% likes, overwhelmingly positive comments or high runtime engagement, it has virtually no affect on whether the "browse features" system shows the video to new viewers. Even as a watcher of other YT videos, I've been finding it more and more difficult to find good quality material because I can't filter out clickbait, ad revenoue and time wasters from search results.
• YT has been increasingly expanding its range of supposedly unnacceptable keywords and subect matter. This makes it so that videos exploring controversial (important) subjects get shadow banned, ad revenue blocked or otherwise suppressed. This even includes videos that call out the marketing lies associated with so-called Artificial Intelligence, which is not an illegal, dangerous or even offensive subject.
  

Because of this severe decline in the quality of YT as a platform, I'm making major changes.

1) Many of my older YT videos have now been made MEMBERS ONLY, meaning only accessible to those paying a monthly membership fee to my Collative Learning YT channel. There are now at least eighty videos of mine that are members only with newer uploads being added over time. This is essential for funding my work.

2) Many of my older YT videos are now only accessible (still for free) via this site you're now visiting. Those videos are now "unlisted" on YT, which means they will no longer show up in YT search results or even when browsing my YT channels. They will instead be linked in the film analysis page on this site under the corresponding film title. This is the ONLY way to access them. I'm doing this to increase traffic to the site itself instead of Youtube itself being the default access point for my work.

3) A small number of my videos will remain publicly searchable on YT. This will mainly be videos that have amassed very large view counts or which haven't been blocked from receiving ad revenue.
